The Importance of Personal Growth in Business

   Posted by: admin

Nancy Quinlisk asked:

The idea of personal growth for me has gone 360º in my thinking about how it relates to business.Let me explain why. I am a “READY GO” person so in the early days of my business I felt that the personal growth component was not a priority.

At first, I felt that far too many people “nested” in personal development and never did the business. I was just the opposite. I didn’t do anything much in the direction of personal growth. As my organization grew, and grew very quickly, I discerned that not everyone has come along the same path of development. People, all of us have come to the business via different directions having come from various career backgrounds. Many of those career paths are not terribly rich in providing opportunity for a person to develop and grow. We all need to be growing in our journeys here on planet earth.

What I will tell you is that it does not build your business to stick your head in a book or tap your toes to the introduction music of the motivational tapes more an hour or two tops per day. This is NOT income producing activity. Income producing activity needs to take at least 80% of your work week. I have no more than five suggestions in my “Leaders are Readers” section and then a few more in the “Supercharge and Take it to the Next Level” portion. I separate the two so new business coaches know they can get started quickly with a short list in terms of personal growth. On my short list is the following:

- Watch or read The Secret (www.thesecret.tv)

- Add these important books to your library and make it a priority to read them…

o Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill

o You Were Born Rich by Bob Proctor

o The 4 Hour Work Week by Timothy Ferriss

o The Power of the Subconscious Mind by Joseph Murphy

These are not in a particular order except one and two. Listening to The Secret will greatly assist people in an important mind-set ? that of being in the state of attraction. Don’t feel you need to be able to do this perfectly right away. It doesn’t happen for most people that way. We are a work in progress so give yourself permission to do your work a little at a time. Whenever I find my mind going to a negative I take a deep breath and move myself to a positive state. So first is the mind-set of attraction. Next I want my new starts to spend time with Napoleon Hill in Think and Grow Rich where they will immerse themselves and feel the importance of growing themselves personally. Early in this work, Hill suggest how to master self-confidence. This confidence piece is one of my favorites. Do a team call on confidence and focus on the portion of his writings.

The 4 Hour Work Week is the freshest piece I have read in a long time. Readers will be highlighting and taking notes on the perspectives and checking the websites Tim Ferriss suggests. It will be a book to carry around with you as you grow your business and choose to develop a lifestyle only some people “dreamline”. You Were Born Rich is just a timeless piece from a highly respected mentor to so many of us. Bob Proctor helped me understand that we are all born with abundance and what we do with that is up to us. Joseph Murphy’s The Power of the Subconscious Mind opens a bright new way in which you use your mind!

The privilege we have before us with a network marketing business is what it allows us in relationships and the development of individuals. DON’T be a gerbil on one of those little tread wheels going round and round and never getting on down the road toward your financial goal. DO hold in high regard the value of personal development. Plan to jog your way through the short list and walk on to whatever you choose to supercharge to the next level. Just make it as easy as possible in the start up to begin your journey of growth.

Get Rhythm In Life

   Posted by: admin

Noel Schipanski asked:

I was listening to Johnny Cash the other day and heard the words “Get Rhythm, When You Get The Blues” in a song. While you may quarrel with my choice of music, the message is key to success in life and in business. Rhythm may be defined here as a system or flow of the things that you do in different areas (work or play) or the overall organization of your life. Or you could define rhythm as something that goes on inside of you to give you the bounce in your step, or a certain swagger. It could even mean that you play or listen to some great music to replace the woes in your mind.

Robert Kiyosaki, in his Rich Dad series, stresses the importance of having a business system to create wealth. A business system is something that can pretty much run on autopilot for much of the time. The business system removes you, as the owner, from the day to day tasks that must be done to make money. This frees up your time for longer range planning, pursuing new ideas, networking, and even family & recreation activities. Without a business system, you would have to be working the business to make money which is more like having a job than a business. Many stay at home internet marketing business’ are great systems. Starting at about an hour per day, the business can be on-line and making money for the whole 24 hours of the day. Choices have to be made on how to spend your time on the business. For example, I could hire someone else to do article writing for me but it is something I enjoy so I do it. However the ten dollars and more that it costs to buy an article that someone else writes for you is a great time saving option and critical for those who can’t or don’t want to write articles. The bottom line is to make the most productive use of your time possible by leveraging other peoples time or business systems to help you make money. With an Internet marketing business we use a website, advertisements, emails, lead capture pages, auto-responders, shopping cart systems and the like that are already set up for our ease of use. This is someone else’s business system and part of ours. Once these things are set up, then we spend out time fine tuning them and pursuing new initiatives. Whatever business we choose, we need to set it up as a system, or series of systems, so that we do not have to be physically present in order that it generates income.

Bob Proctor also strongly advocates the use of business systems such as Network Marketing. He tells us that they provide the fairest form of compensation that there is for our efforts. Additionally, he states that 96% of people will never be wealthy because they trade their limited time for money either as wage earners or professionals. To be wealthy we need to invest our money or have a business system. And generally, the way we get our money to invest is from our business systems. So set up your business system for wealth creation.

In the movie “The Secret” Proctor recommends that we put on a piece of great music when we are feeling down and that we will begin to feel good. As we set up and build our business system, we need to deal with the problems and move on. It is important to acknowledge what went wrong, be it a poor decision or outside influences and learn from it thereby avoiding an encore. So the focus is to move ahead with our business system. And actually, it you do get rhythm and put on some great music, no matter how you feel, that feeling will improve. You might even dance around and develop the swagger.

A Review of Network Marketer Linda Forsythe

   Posted by: admin

Brian Garvin asked:

If you are in a position to make some decisions about the possibility of new money making opportunities in your life, one of the first things that you need to do is learn about them. Linda Forsythe is someone who wants to help you get to know all about the different possibilities that are open to you.

When you take a look at what Linda Forsythe has to offer, you’ll often find that there is a great deal of wisdom that can be revealed, but how pertinent is it to what you are interested in? Essentially, to what extent can it help you?

The first thing to take a look at is what are Linda Forsythe’s qualifications? What has Linda Forsythe done that qualifies her to help you in this way? In the first place, Linda Forsythe had done quite a lot to add her knowledge to the pool of inspirational and motivational literature out there.

She is the founder of Mentors International, as well as the Mentors Magazine, which supports the organization. She also organized the well-known book, Walking With the Wise, and this work is the one that has brought her to the attention of networking community.

With Walking With the Wise, Linda Forsythe draws together the knowledge of many impressive and important people in the world. Linda Forsythe brings together the knowledge they share and no matter what your field or what your goals are, they all bear reading.

The people that are collected in her book are very different, but the thing that all seventy of them share is that they have been wildly successful at what they have done. Some of the notables in this collection include Jim Rohn, Bob Proctor, Brian Tracey, Dottie Walters and Zig Ziglar, to name only a few. With Walking With the Wise Volume II, she continues this trend.

You might decide before working with Linda that you speak with her first to see if she is a real person. All our research based on connections we have tells us that she really is out for your success and will go the extra mile to help you achieve it. When we did a MySpace add friend request before this review she added us in less than a day. So it appears she is on top of her game.

The question then becomes, how useful is this book to you? First, don’t look at it as a source of hard and fast financial knowledge, though some of the advice does tend in that direction. Essentially, many people get success from using this book as an inspiration rather than a blueprint.

They are the words of experts, but for more solid knowledge of the field that you are working on, you might want to seek more complete and detailed sources of information. These books are highly affordable and can be found easily on Amazon, so if you are in need of inspiration, then by all means see what Linda Forsythe can do for you today!

Making Money From Home: A Simple Technique

   Posted by: admin

Kelly Heldreth asked:

Recapping our previous discussion about the important role that desire plays in setting goals, I mentioned that goals that have a high level of desire attached to them will always have greater power to them. This is because the Universe responds to your desires and always supports it. If you really want something, the Universe will start to rearrange itself to accommodate your desires.

The strongest power you can put behind making your goals is your own emotions. However, this doesn’t mean you can just sit back and will everything to happen without putting any effort of your own. Achieving goals means taking action. Rich people already know this - they understand how their belief systems and their mindset affect whether or not you can achieve success. This is the difference between rich and poor people. They think differently and don’t have the same behavioral patterns.

In order to achieve true success, you must make a commitment to personal development. Let’s be truthful; if you are not aware of how your habits, mindset and belief system affects your reality, how can you change them to be successful? It is a fact that if you are not where you currently want to be, your habits and thoughts have kept you from getting there. So how do you identify and change them?

1. Spend time with people who have what you want. One of the most effective ways is to spend time with people who have what you want. Every city has networking or business groups and your local Chamber of Commerce is a great start. There are also several other professional groups you can find both on a local and national level.

Another method of meeting people who are successful is to go to personal development seminars and other events. Find an event that looks interesting to you and attend. Introduce yourself to people and take advantage of this opportunity to talk to them. Exchange business cards and keep in touch with the people you meet there.

2. Start making an effort to learn everything you ca and expand your awareness. You can only change the things which are holding you back if you know what it is you’re doing wrong. Personal development seminars and workshops can get you started towards your goal - you’ll find yourself a little more knowledgeable about the factors which are keeping your from success after each event you attend.

3. Read, Read and Read More. Pick up every book you can from experts who have achieved what you want. There are several industry leaders such as Tony Robbins, Jack Canfield, Brian Tracy, Zig Ziglar and Bob Proctor who share invaluable tools for achieving success. Find a leader who you relate to and read, read and read more! The Power of Mentorship book series (Amazon.com) is a great resource for finding multiple industry leaders in a quick and easy-to-ready book. If you don’t have the time or energy to read books, then get audio books that you can listen to in your car or upload to your iPod.

Tony Robbins said “Success leaves clues”. This is something which is completely true. You need to find the people out there who have made the success out of their lives which you want from yours and learn from them. There aren’t any quick fixes - you’ll still have to work to change your habits; but when you can learn from someone who has been there themselves, the process becomes far more easy.

Marty Keller asked:

The Science of Getting Rich is a timeless classic written in 1910 by Wallace D. Wattles. It is a bold title for a book and suggests that getting rich is a predictable outcome if one can master the principles outlined in the book. Here is how Wallace D. Wattles puts it in his own words, “The ownership of money and property comes as a result of doing things in a certain way. Those who do things in this certain way, whether on purpose or accidentally, get rich. Those who do not do things in this certain way, no matter how hard they work or how able they are, remain poor. It is a natural law that like causes always produce like effects. Therefore, any man or woman who learns to do things in this certain way will infallibly get rich.”

Certainly, this book is well referenced by many

of the great teachers today and it is the same book that inspired Rhonda Byrne to produce that runaway success “the Secret”. Here is what Rhonda Byrne said on her introductory note to the book, “I can honestly say that, since that first night when a tattered printed manuscript found its way to me (thanks to one of my daughters), my life has never been the same. Once you read it for yourself, you will understand why”. Rhonda went on to produce the movie “the Secret” and the best-selling book of the same title which has sold millions of copies worldwide.

However, learning how to do things in that “certain way” as described by Wallace D. Wattles may be more challenging for some as the book was written nearly 100 years ago. Some of the language is a little dated and much of its wisdom lost from a modern day perspective.

Fortunately, a new training seminar for the Science of Getting Rich has brought the wisdom of this timeless classic back to life for modern readers. Called “the Science of Getting Rich”, this program is the most comprehensive training system for mastering Wallace D. Wattles wealth creation philosophies and principles since its creation. It comprises written, audio and live seminar formats for learning, applying and mastering the Science of Getting Rich.

A unique “twist” to the program is the fact that it has an in-built vehicle for creating substantial financial wealth through its affiliate program. This is truly a unique wealth education and wealth-building program designed to empower any individual with the resources to get rich. It is a program whose time has come. The program would not be possible without the original text from Wallace D. Wattles, the skills of leading teachers of our time, the phenomenal success of “the Secret” and the Internet as a learning and distribution tool.

Copy and paste the link below to learn more about the Secret Science of Getting Rich and the details of the program.

The Science of Getting Rich Teachers:

Bob Proctor

Bob Proctor is an author, lecturer, counselor, business consultant, entrepreneur, and teacher preaching the gospel of positive thinking, self-motivation and maximizing human potential. In that endeavor, he follows in the footsteps of such motivational giants as Napoleon Hill, Earl Nightingale and Wallace D. Wattles.

His extraordinary teaching ability has won Proctor acclaim around the globe and has carried the Canadian-born motivator to the far reaches of the earth. He is as well known in Australia and Malaysia as he is in Alberta and Mississippi.

Born in a little town in northern Ontario, Canada with the low self-esteem that often befalls a family’s middle child, he performed poorly in school, dropped out and did a hitch in the navy. Afterward he drifted from one dead-end job to another until a friend introduced Bob to the concept of self-development through Napoleon Hill’s classic Think and Grow Rich.

With the spark generated by Hill’s words, Proctor found the initiative to start an office cleaning business, which he grew to international scope in his first year of operation. From that experience - after seeing what he had been able to accomplish with just a rudimentary knowledge of personal motivation and goal setting - he hungered for more information.

His quest took him to the Nightingale-Conant organization to study under his mentor, Earl Nightingale. Once on board, he rose swiftly through the ranks. Eventually, while the Nightingale-Conant organization assumed the forefront in wide-scale distribution of personal development programs, Bob felt the need to take his ideas and methods directly to the individual, to the one-on-one level, which had proved so successful for himself.

In the mid 1970’s, Proctor established his own seminar company and secured a contract to work with a few hundred agents of Prudential Life Insurance Co. of America in Chicago. During his first seminar Bob made the suggestion that any agent present could write $5 million in business that year if the agent made a decision to do so.

The fact that the seminar took place in July with the year half over and that no agent in that region had ever written so much business in the 100-year history of the company made Bob’s suggestion appear to be outrageous. However, when the performance level of the entire division increased substantially with more than one agent actually accomplishing the deed, Bob’s reputation as a motivator was established.

Over the ensuing years, Proctor has shared his special message and expertise with hundreds of business entities worldwide and, through a program of live seminars, with thousands of people of all ages in all walks of life.

Meanwhile, in addition to his international best seller You Were Born Rich, he found time to author other works as well, including Mission in Commission, The Winner’s Image, The Goal Achiever, The Success Series, The Success Puzzle, The Recruiting Puzzle, and Being Your Very Best.

Jack Canfield

Jack Canfield is an American motivational speaker, trainer and author. He is best known as the founder and co-creator of The New York Times No. 1 best-selling “Chicken Soup for the Soul” book series, which currently has over 65 titles and 80 million copies in print in over 37 languages. According to USA Today, Canfield and his writing partner, Mark Victor Hansen, were the top-selling authors in the United States in 1997.

With a BA from Harvard University, a Masters from University of Massachusetts, and an honorary doctorate from the University of Santa Monica, Canfield has been a high school and university teacher, a workshop facilitator, a psychotherapist, and for the past 30 years, a leading authority in the area of self-esteem and personal development.

Canfield is the founder of “Self Esteem Seminars” in Santa Barbara, and “The Foundation for Self Esteem” in Culver City, California. Self Esteem Seminars trains entrepreneurs, educators, corporate leaders and employees on how to accelerate the achievement of their personal and professional goals, while The Foundation for Self Esteem provides self-esteem resources and trainings to social workers, welfare recipients and human resource professionals. Canfield is also the President of Souperspeakers.com, a speaking resource service that provides inspirational speakers for event planners worldwide.

Canfield has traveled to over 21 countries, delivering hundreds of keynote speeches, workshops and trainings each year. As part of his presentation style, he always uses inspirational, motivational and uplifting stories to help his audiences discover, experience and retain key concepts and approaches. After each session, audiences everywhere had encouraged him to put his stories into a single book.

In 1990, while on an airplane home, he felt that it was time. He shared his idea with author Mark Victor Hansen during breakfast one day. Hansen liked the idea, and so began the Chicken Soup for the Soul phenomenon. But with their busy schedules, translating what worked on the podium onto the written page proved more challenging than either of them had anticipated. After three long years, the two had compiled just sixty-eight stories — a far cry from the 101 they believed was the magic number for a successful book. Nonetheless, their successful partnership has spawned many other titles that have made them enormously famous.

Canfield has appeared on numerous television shows, including Good Morning America, 20/20, Eye-to-Eye, CNN’s Talk Back Live, PBS and the BBC. Today, he speaks shares his success strategies with companies and associations worldwide.

The most recent book Canfield has written was the 2005 publication of The Success Principles. In it Canfield shares 64 principles that he and other people have utilized to achieve great levels of success.

Balwant asked:

Tellman Knudson has created a multi-million Internet business teaching others how to build a highly receptive email opt-in list and a key component to his success is teleseminars. For a time though, Knudson’s was mainly successful in starting businesses. Over an eight year period he started no less than eight businesses all of which, in his own words, “failed sadly”. For more detail go to: www.mailing-list-gold.com.  However, this did not deter him.

One of his handicaps is that he is suffers from Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD). Knudson describes himself as being highly creative and having loads of weird ideas. At the same time, he finds it difficult to focus on one thing. In the past, he always wanted to do his own thing and this almost led to financial wreck.

He attained a measure of success with hypnotherapy. He describes himself as an “incredible hypnotherapies” and built a business that saw him working with 12-14 clients a day, six days a week for one to one and half hours at $75 per hour. However, he was exchanging his time for money and there are only so many hours in a day. Ironically, even although on one level this business was thriving, he was still stressed to pay his rent and was $100,000 in debt.

Knudson knew he had to make some radical changes to the manner in which he conducted business and turned to Internet Marketing. He also decided to focus on list building because he noticed that this topic was a returning theme in much of the marketing material that he was receiving.

Bob Proctor says that if your goals do not excite you as well as scare you then you haven’t set yourself a goal that is worthy of you. Knudson had no problem with this. He set himself the audacious goal of getting one million subscribers in six months or less. He felt this goal would excite his subscribers as well as get the attention of a few JV (Joint Venture) partners.

He identified a list of potential JV partners and offered them a proposal. The first scenario were not as established as those he would later approach and they just laughed at him and told him that it couldn’t be done. Who could blame them? Knudson wasn’t exactly approaching this challenge from a position of strength. Knudson had no product plus he:

He was turned down 63 times before he received his first yes. For more help visit to: www.37-list-building-secrets.com. When heavyweights such as Joe Vitale and Jay Abraham agreed to come on board others followed suit. It is ironic that those who agreed to support him were more accomplished Internet Marketers than those who originally rejected him. Perhaps they had greater vision than the initial naysayer or may be the long string of rejections enabled Knudson to refine his pitch. No matter, he was up and running.

However, it certainly wasn’t plain sailing. He persuaded seven other individuals to work with him on a percentage basis and work they did. They were putting in 30-50 hour weeks and bringing in about $10,000 per month of which 70% went to Knudson’s partners and the remainder was ploughed back into the business to pay for systems such as Instant Audio, Ask Database and further education, all of which helped the business to run more efficiently.

The Spirit Of Opulence Applied

   Posted by: admin

Mark Styranka asked:

In the movie and book The Secret by Rhonda Byrne, Bob Proctor mentions and praises the essay “The Spirit of Opulence” by Thomas Troward. This essay can be read at http://www.ardue.org.uk/library/book12/es15.html and is well worth the effort. Troward’s essay defines that to think opulently is to think largely, generously, and liberally. Have a look at the other essays on this site and you will be amazed at the content.

Applying the spirit of opulence to our life cannot but help us to succeed and grow. It is not a matter of collecting things so that we can live in the style of the rich and famous. It is a way of living, including doing business, that will attract opulence. In other words, what we have in our lives is the result of the actions that we take. Living in the spirit of opulence will allow us to think of abundance rather than lack and when we feel abundant, then we feel generous. If we are generous with our knowledge, time, money and other resources, then we will reap the rewards of this.

In business this means that we want to think of what we can add to the transaction, not what we can take from it. Rather than focusing on making money, we want to focus on how our product or service can benefit others. The question should be: How can we add more value, in our customer’s eyes? Only then will we truly be able to find success in our business transactions. Again, if we focus on the money we will get, then the message we are giving out is not congruent with a feeling of abundance from which we will receive abundance. It must instead be too mindful of a lack of money, which will only manifest more of that lack of money. It is important to our success that whatever our businesses offer, that the customer perceives more value in that than what they have to part with (money) to get it. we must take the time to learn what our target market wants and then make the effort to market that to them. Once a sale is made, we should follow-up to ensure that our customer is happy with the purchase and absolutely rectify any problems. A satisfied customer will be a repeat customer, supplying free word of mouth advertising. An unhappy customer can do significant damage to a business’ reputation and its potential to maintain or increase sales.

This information is not new to many of us. So many of the business and self-help books tell us all of this information. What begins to become amazing is that this information has been communicated to us in different ways from different people pretty much since the beginning of time. Bob Proctor refers to a Judge Thomas Troward’s work in the early 1900s, about the same time that Wallace Wattles was writing his book “The Science of Getting Rich”. The Science of Getting Rich is the book that Rhonda Byrne’s daughter gave to her resulting in “The Secret” movie, book, website and so on. As legend has it, The Emerald Tablets referred to in The Secret do come from the beginning of time. So we would do well to take heed of all this advice. We are being told this for a reason, and no negative consequence will result. The outcome is amazing to all that practice it on a daily basis.

Bob Proctor Uncovered

   Posted by: admin

Bill Tannar asked:

Bob Proctor’s $2,000 price tag to get involved with his teaching is steep! A lot of people have argued that a high price tag is simply a creative way to build high value into a program.

Bob Proctor is a marketing / motivational speaker guy that has been around for a long, long time. Nearly forty years. He is now the vice president of sales at the popular electronic publishing and self improvement company, The Nightingale-Conant Corporation.

The Nightingale-Conant Corp. was put together by the very famous Earl Nightingale and equally well known partner Lloyd Conant. Some popular products offered on CD include Psycho Cybernetics, Think and Grow Rich, and The Strangest Secret (Earl Nightingale) along with so many others. These programs by the way are offered at a realistic price point. You can build yourself a great collection of knowledge for a small percentage of what’s being charged by Bob Proctor to teach the same thing that is on these CDs.

All of this motivational, you can do whatever your mind and heart desire stuff is great. Unfortunately Bob Proctor is not the one who came up with most of the ideas that are in the programs or The Little Green Book which is basically Earl Nightingales Strangest Secrets. Nothing wrong with selling other people stuff, he is the V.P. of sales. It is his job to sell.

Bob Proctor him self does has a very successful story to be told. His own company, Life Success Productions has worked with some giant corporation like Metropolitan Life and IBM. He teaches “the Midas Touch, where everything your heart desires becomes reality.” They have helped sales staffs to become more positive and productive in there selling approaches. His trainings are highly sought after by many individuals and large companies all over the world.

As of lately I personally am only interested in the real down to the bone, money making programs. I do not like to beat around the bush when it comes to making money. Find a good money making program or course and then get “your mind in harmony with the law of attraction,” if Bob Proctors teachings are what really interest you. When I found a way to make more money that worked, it was all the motivation that I needed.

The Science of Getting Rich and Life Success Consultants are a couple more programs that Bob offers. Again, the information and general content is good but for me it is not delivered at a pace that I can bare. I want a direct path to the money at light speed. To get through all the motivational and uplifting exercises before telling me what I really want to know kind of drives me crazy.

The slogan is “make it happen fast” and they state that you can retire this year. That is a bold statement although, and of course a very motivating one. In my opinion, this is what the whole course and program being offered is all about. I like this kind of stuff but to me it is not worth the high price tag.

Bob Proctor as a motivational person does very well and I do find his teachings to be valid. I would recommend him based on it being a motivation program. At this he is one of the best.
